The Air Mission Brief (AMB) is defined as what?

A daily safety briefing before flight

Last meeting of key persons in an air assault mission to finalize details of the plan

The Air Mission Brief is the final coordination meeting of key players in an air assault mission, held to finalize the plan before execution. It brings together the air mission commander, ground maneuver leaders, aviation units, support teams, and communications personnel to confirm who does what, when, and where. The goal is to lock in critical details such as tasking and responsibilities, flight routes and timing, landing zones and pickup points, security measures, abort criteria, contingency options, and the communications plan. This ensures everyone has a shared understanding and there are no gaps or misunderstandings as the mission proceeds. It’s not simply a safety briefing, not a post-mission debrief, and not a standalone casualty evacuation plan.

After-action debriefing

A casualty evacuation plan
